Final Holiday Nail Looks

Ok so I kind feel like I dropped the ball here on holiday nail art this year! I did partake in a few challenges, and I did a few nails just for me! So I thought I'd share what is left over below! And stay tuned to the end of my post for a collage of all my holiday nails!!!

First up we have some sweater nails!

Not the most traditional colors, but the base is Ever After Polish Jagged Heart and I stamped using a Zoya polish. The plate is one of my new Bundle Monsters - BM S215 to be exact!

The next look features a base of an indie polish I wish not to name. There was a lot of drama involving said brand earlier this year. I had purchased quite a lot from this maker, and while there are still bad feelings all around regarding the brand, I just can't quite part with the polishes I bought using my hard-earned money.

But this is a fun dotticure look you could easily create with similar colors, so I thought I would share anyway!!! The white dots are KBShimmer Eyes White Open and the red dots are B Polished Red-y for the Holodays!

The next look features a gradient using two polishes of the brand I'd rather not name. I topped the gradient with ILNP My Private Rainbow (X) because I thought the flakie holo shards would add a sparkle reminiscent of snow flurries! And then I used an older Bundle Monster plate and my KBShimmer Eyes White Open for the stamping!

So that completes my holiday nail looks. I think I did maybe 9 looks total for the season? I'm just kinda over holiday nails now and have been for awhile! I've gotten so many new pretties in my mailbox over the last two weeks, I can't wait to play with them all! But for your viewing pleasure, here is a collage of all my holiday looks in one place!!!!

Untitled

I'm pretty sure I'm taking a few days off from the blog now, but I'll most likely be back Monday with some New Year's Nails to share and then I'll create a post with my favorite polishes of the year and my favorite nail art looks as a fun wrap up!!!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday break, no matter what you celebrate. All my readers mean the world to me, I am so thankful you stop by from time to time! If you feel so inclined, let me know what your doing with your time off (fingers crossed you all get some this holiday season)!

I'm headed to my in-laws for Christmas, and it might actually snow tomorrow! I'm SOOOO excited, I haven't had a white Christmas in YEARS! And my sister-in-law is visit with her children all the way from Germany so it will be a happy reunion with family! :) My side of the family is headed up to my place for New Years, and that is when we'll celebrate Christmas with my side!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Winter

Hey everyone, sorry I didn't get this up yesterday, but life has been a bit busy to say the least! Today I have some fun winter nail art to share with you!

Untitled

Another week, another Crumpet's Nail Art Challenge, the rest of this month is themed with the holidays, so not difficult stuff here! Just simple stamping. Please ignore the smudge on my middle finger, a sign of how crazy life has been lately, I wore nails with a smudge!

Untitled

The base of this look is ILNP Cozy Mittens, a beautiful champagne holo polish with gold flakies giving it added depth. And the linear holo finish in this is SO strong.

Untitled

Since the name of the polish is Cozy Mittens, I was thinking I would pull out an appropriate stamp for it, so I broke out my Bundle Monster BM-S220, which is the perfect snow-day stamp! And for this look I broke out my B Polished Red-y for the Holodays, which is an amazingly opaque red that is perfect for stamping with!

Untitled

I really liked how this came out, not your typical winter nails, but I already did snowflakes earlier this month. I wish we had snow days in California, but we don't. Maybe we'll get some rain days this year with the impending El Niño, but probably not. I can dream right?!

Don't forget to check out all the other amazing nail art my fellow nail tarts have put together for this challenge in the inlinkz below!

Icicle nails

Today's challenge was icy blue and white colors, and I guess I took this one pretty literally!

I started with two thin layers of Zoya Blu as the base for my gradient. Then I added Blu, Zoya Edie and OPI I saw... U saw... We saw... Warsaw (the longest and most annoyingly named polish!) to a make up sponge and applied the gradient!

I really do think I am getting better at my gradients! I'm finding the more I do them, the better I'm getting at it! For the icicles, I used a-England Encore Margot and a nail art brush to apply them. They aren't perfect but I do like how they turned out!

This whole manicure was based on my very first nail inspiration I pinned about January of last year. I had just stared to use Pintrest for nail inspiration, and this was my very first pin. So I knew this year, with all of the experience I had gained, I just had to try it! And I think the results were great.

At first I was going to use this manicure, below, I had created before I even started this challenge, but I wanted to try the icicle technique. And so in this post I am sharing two for the price of one!

The glitter base here is KBShimmer Fallen Angle. With my order of Fallen Angle, I got some fun snowman glitter, which I placed in the center nail. I used Bundle Monster BM-407 for the tree stamps. I wasn't in love with this manicure too much though, because I feel like the stamping got lost a bit. Which I guess is why I did this as a two for one post, because I wanted to do something that truly fulfilled the prompt!

So which one of these manicures is your favorite?

And as a fun bonus, I'll leave you with a photo of my husband and I with Santa. We met him last night at a bar. No joke. I told him I want a never ending supply of nail polish for Christmas! ;-) It's a shame I didn't still have on my Santa nails when I met him!
