40 Great Nail Art Ideas – New Years Nails

Ok I admit it, I am phoning it in this year for my New Years Nails. I'm acutally sharing with you what I wore on Christmas, but I figure it works for New Years as well.

Yes these are colored snowflakes, but if you blur your eyes, they could also be colored fireworks! Hahaha, so sorry for phoning it in for this Crumpet's Nail Tarts challenge, but I have family in town and I just have not had a second to do actual New Years nails.

Ok now for the details. The base of this mani is the amazing Painted Polish 2016, which I realize right now is also appropriate for my New Years nails. This is a gorgeous linear holo with silver holo microglitter and beautiful iridescent flakies. This polish has it all, in the shade the flakies shine and in the sun holo comes out to play. Sooooo pretty, couldn't stop staring at this polish.

And for this manicure I broke out the clear stamper, which I purchased from What's Up Nails (super fast shipping, so approve), and stamped various snowflakes in several colors using my Jolie Polish stamping polishes!

So that's all you get from me this New Years, sorry it took me so long to put this up (this was due last week), but I'm getting it in just under the wire. Well for the west coast that is!

Don't forget to check out all the other ladies who actually put some effort into this prompt, unlike me (SOOO sorry!!!).

The December Destination Duo

Hey everyone, popping in real quick for some swatches of a great duo that is available starting tomorrow.

This is the Indigo Bananas and Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Destination Duo inspired by this photo below.

Let's get to the swatches shall we?!

This is Indigo Bananas Light the Way and it is a beautiful chartreuse holo (which leans more yellow on my skin tone). It has a lovely linear holo finish with some gorgeous green shifty flakies which give it a glowing effect. This polish was on the sheerer side, I used two coats for my swatches, but there is slight visible nail line (as is the case with light holos this shade). You may want three coats. Formula is great though, no issues there.

This is Blue Eyed Lacquer Girl Lighthouse on the Lake, a gorgeous dusty blue creme which leans slightly green (but not at all teal). This was almost opaque in one coat, but I used two just to be safe. Dries to a satin finish, so swatches all show with a top coat. Formula was great, a tad on the watery side, but not difficult to work with, just don't overload the brush. There is a note that this stamps, but I did not have my stamping gear out today while swatching, do hope to use it in the future!

I did do two quite art looks with these polishes to give you an idea of how well they pair together (which they do!!!). A funky french and a dotticure!

Now for the purchasing info! This duo will be available in both the Indigo Bananas shop and the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer shop starting tomorrow Dec. 31 at 3:30 p.m. EST. Each shop will only have a limited quantity of the set of polishes, and at a later date each brand will sell their respective polishes at a normal higher price! So what are you waiting for?! Go grab yourself these pretties at the duo price!!!
