The Indie Shop Intro: Stached Polish Review

Hey everyone! Hope you're having great weeks out there, I'm very excited to start sharing with you some new to me brands I picked up while at The Indie Shop a few weeks back.

Today I'm introducing you to Stached Polish. I met Holly, the maker behind this brand, at her table while shopping and was just so impressed with how kind she was. So that's why I'm sharing her brand first – also I really liked the ones I picked out!!!

First up we have this gorgeous vampy color Stached Polish Breakfast. This is part of ALL the Meals Collection, inspired by Lord of the Rings. This is a gorgeous burgundy brown linear holo which is both creamy and holo-y at the same time. This had a great formula and was opaque in two easy coats.

This beauty is Stached Polish Malfoy Manor, part of the Harry Potter-inspired Lightening Has Struck Collection. I think this one is gone for good (she just had a killer sale, 'tis the season), but isn't it a beauty?! This is a blue to purple flakie/foil shimmer and holo polish that just has so much depth and character to it. Also had a great formula and was opaque in two easy coats.

This one was a mini in my VIP bag from The Indie Shop, and the name currently escapes me, sorry! It was sort of a jelly creme combo polish, that got darker with additional coats. I believe I used two coats for this opacity, but as you will see in the next photo, this baby stamps and comes out much more blue.

I really enjoyed using this to stamp, and will clearly use it again in the future. Might just be good over lighter polishes though. I still really loved how this looked with Malfoy Manor.

So there you go, a creme, holo and foil/flakie from a new-to-me brand. The consensus is I am so excited to have discovered Stached Polish and I have a wish list growing and can't wait to see what Holly comes up with next!

Today I am so excited to share with you Dreamland Lacquer's Holiday Collection – 6 polishes inspired by the movie Elf. I love Elf and make sure to watch it every year so excited to share with you this fun collection. Each of the polishes in this collection are $10 each, 6 piece set will be $54.

This collection will be released for preorder starting Nov. 25 at 12:01 a.m. CST at the Dreamland Lacquer site. There will also be a rerelase of some older shades from last year's Christmas in Stars Hollow collection – more details on that and a sale at the end of this post.

This is Dreamland Lacquer He's an Angry Elf. This is a beautiful bright green linear holo polish perfect for this holiday season. The formula on this was great, opaque in two easy coats.

This is Dreamland Lacquer Santa! I Know Him!. This is a beautiful deep red jelly filled with holo flakies. I just love this finish and I know a lot of others do as well, I expect this to be a popular shade. It goes perfectly with the previous green holo and would be a fun red/green set! This was opaque in two easy coats.

This is Dreamland Lacquer Smiling's My Favorite. This is a rose gold base filled with tiny holo, copper and pink glitter plus holo pigment. This polish has beauty and depth and is the perfect neutral work appropriate shade with added bling for the holidays. This was also opaque in two easy coats, since it's a microglitter, you'll definitely want a top coat for optimal shine.

This is Dreamland Lacquer The 7 Levels of the Candy Cane Forest, a perfect sister to I Ate the Fuzzy Certs (which will also be available on Friday, more details at the end of the post). This is a white crelly with several sizes of red glitter, plus holo microglitter and white microflakes. Make sure you let each layer dry when applying this one so you don't drag the glitter. This was opaque in two coats, but I would recommend possibly a second layer of top coat to smooth this one out.

This is Dreamland Lacquer Throne of Lies. This is a dark grape jelly (almost midnight indigo to my eyes) with holo microglitter and slightly larger copper glitter. This was a surprise favorite of mine, reminds me a dark winter sky with the stars shining bright on a night with no moon. This was opaque in two easy coats.

This is Dreamland Lacquer Son of a Nutcracker. This is a brown crelly base with irridescent shifting flakies and unicorn pee pigment (similar to Monkey Monkey Underpants). This will definitely be a favorite, who doesn't love unicorn pee pigment? Also this is totally unique in my collection, I have nothing like this. This was opaque in two easy coats.

Also re-releasing for preorder on Friday is four shades from the Christmas in Stars Hollow Collection.

From left clockwise, we have Monkey Monkey Underpants, I Smell Snow, Buy Me a Boa and Drive Me to Reno and I Ate the Fuzzy Certs – aren't these names the best?!

Now for the details of the sale. This is a four day event starting at 12:01 a.m. CST Friday Nov. 25 through 12:01 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 29. Discount is 25% off the whole store EXCEPT the new Holiday 2016 collection (does include the Gilmore Girls re-release). No code is necessary for the 25% discount, and the free and reduced rate shipping codes listed Dreamland Lacquer site will also work with the this discount.

Projected turnaround time for orders placed during this event is two weeks from the end of the sale, but it may take longer depending on the volume of orders received. Updates will be made to the Dreamland Facebook page if shipping will be delayed.

Fall Leaves Nail Art Extravaganza!

Since holiday nails are just around the corner, I needed to get all my fall leaves manis into one quick post!

Untitled

Fall colors and nail art are just my absolute favorite so I just had to purchase the UberChic Beauty Lovely Leaves plate and create all the fall manis! So here we go! Since all the looks are made with the same plate, I'll just focus on the polishes and techniques used in each mani.

Untitled

Untitled

I kicked off the season with this beautiful look. The base of this mani is Illyrian Polish Blue Moon. I used a clear stamper to create this double stamping look using an Essie polish (the purple) and Jolie Polish Orange Dahlia Flower stamping polish.

Untitled

Untitled

For the base of this one I did a gradient using Dreamland Lacquer Red Jamie and Dreamland Lacquer Sassenach. For stamping I used Kiko Melon, a polish I picked up in Europe a few years ago.

Untitled

This next look has a base of Fair Maiden Polish Throwin' Elbows (sorry not available anymore) with a layer of ILNP Glory (flakies) on top. Then I used my MoYou London Pro Plate 1 and KBShimmer Eyes White Open to stamp the lines. Then I used a clear stamper an created a decal on the stamper which I later used for placement. I filled the leave image in with Smitten Polish (now Dreamland) The First Lobster, one of my all time favorite polishes, but is no longer available.

Untitled

Untitled

For this look I began by painting my pointer, middle and pinky nails with Painted Polish Tide Pool Teal and I painted the thumb and ring finger with Color Club Cosmic Fate. Then I used the opposite polishes to stamp on the images.

Untitled

Untitled

For this look I started with a base of ILNP Greatness and then stamped the image using Color Club Beyond.

And last but not least, we have my favorite of the bunch. This is featuring Fair Maiden Polish Shadow of Your Heart as a base, more stripes from my MoYou London 01 plate, and leaves colored in with Fair Maiden Polish Roaming Fire. I used a clear stamper to create and place the leaves on the nail.

And that is it everyone, quick and easy, but some of my favorite looks and polishes of the year. I'm dying to know, which are our favorites?!
