Now let's get to these gorgeous polishes shall we?!

First up we have Dreamland Lacquer Village Crazy Lady. This is a bright cerulean blue with holo and color shifting glitters. This is a gorgeous bright shade that just screams spring into summer and I totally will be wearing this a ton. Blues like this are my jam! The application was opaque in two easy coats, but the glitter will dry a little bumpy so I recommend an extra layer of top coat (which I did not use for my swatches, just FYI).

Next we have Dreamland Lacquer Heart of the Ocean. This is a gorgeous bright green jelly polish with holo and color shifting glitters. I love bright greens and this is perfect shade reminds me a fresh cut grass on a sunny day. The shifting glitters represent the sunlight! It is so gorgeous. Just like Village Crazy Lady, the application was opaque in two easy coats, but the glitter will dry a little bumpy so I recommend an extra layer of top coat (which I did not use for my swatches, just FYI).

This beauty is Dreamland Lacquer Consider the Coconut. This is a brown leaning taupe polish with holo and color shifting glitters. The color shifts from orange to green to blue and is just gorgeous. This has to be my favorite of the collection, as I just love the color shifting glitters with among a nude polish. Like the previous two polishes, the application was opaque in two easy coats, but the glitter will dry a little bumpy so I recommend an extra layer of top coat (which I did not use for my swatches, just FYI). I wore this for a day before taking the last photo in natural light, so it was looking a little bumpier than the others because I didn't double coat it.

This is Dreamland Lacquer Your Granny Lied!. This a metallic champagne gold holo with gold shimmer. I love this gold, it is great for all seasons and reminds me of the sun on a super hot summer day! This was two easy coats for opacity.

Last but not least is Dreamland Lacquer Boat Snack. This is a gorgeous yellow leaning medium orange linear holo polish. You guys, Dreamland really hits it out of the park with their linear holos and this one does not disappoint. Perfect for some sunset gradient nails (pair it with a pink or maroon) and you are good to go! Tropically wonderful! Also two coats for opacity.

So there you go, another beautiful collection from Dreamland Lacquer. Once again these will be available for preorder tomorrow April 1 April 1 2 p.m. CDT through April 3 2 p.m. CDT. Each polish will be $11.50 each, but during the preorder they will be sold for $11 each and the set will be sold for $50.

Which ones are your favorite?! I think I'm definitely in love with Consider the Coconut, Village Crazy Lady and Boat Snack! They are all so beautiful, I can't really decide!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Nail Art

Well moving day is here! And I am sitting here in my new empty house with the ATT guy hooking up the cable (he got the internet running lickity split) and since I never shared the St. Patrick's Day nails I did last week before I was in moving chaos, I thought I would share them now!

Untitled

To create this look I started with a layer of KBShimmer Eyes White Open then brought out four different shades of green holo – Zoya Merida, Dreamland Lacquer Kiss Me I'm a Fish, Dreamland Lacquer He's an Angry Elf and Smitten Polish (now Dreamland) Girl Sprouts.

Untitled

I did a skittle look with three different nail art techniques.

Untitled

For the middle finger I did a dotticure featuring all of the beautiful green holos, I love all the different finishes of the polishes, I think they went really well together.

Untitled

For the index and ring finger I did a smoosh manicure, which I just loved how it turned out and I hope to do be doing quite a few of these in the future. Once again the textures really came out to play on these nails. I also stamped a plaid image on top to complete the look and tie it in with the next nail look.

Untitled

For the thumb and pinky I took out a plaid stamping image from my MoYou Pro 01 plate and did a gradient holo stamping job. This was a more subtle look but I thought really spoke to the Irish part of the look, since there weren't any shamrocks or anything overtly St. Patrick's Day.

Untitled

Overall I really liked this look. Green is my absolute favorite color so getting to throw together a medley of different shades really makes me a happy camper.

Anyway, hopefully things will be settled here in the new house in no time. I was able to successfully transfer all my polish with no casualties thankfully enough! I'm in my second trimester now and energy is coming back so I'm looking forward to being in full nesting mode with this new house!

Hopefully the move, and lack of full time work, will get me going on the blog more often again too, thanks for sticking with me while I've been going through this transition this year guys! March is actually my third blogiversary, sorry I didn't do anything momentous to mark the occasion!

Literary Lacquers Magical March and a Personal Note

Hey everyone, I know my blogging has been incredibly irregular lately and I do have an explanation for that, which I will explain at the end of this post. All good news I assure you!

Untitled

But today I've have some gorgeous polishes to share with you from Literary Lacquers. Literary Lacquers hosts a monthly Pop Up in her Etsy shop now which features a new polish and rereleases several older polishes. This month the Magical March Pop Up shop will be open from Friday March 3 at 8 p.m. MST to Sunday March 5 midnight MST.

Lets get to the gorgeous polishes shall we?!

First up is Literary Lacquers Amortentia, the new polish of this bunch. This is a lovely champagne rose gold almost metallic holo with glass flakies. This was inspired by the love potion in Harry Potter and designed with Rachel McNulty for her wedding. The formula on this was great and was applied easily in two coats for opacity.

This polish is a gorgeous gold that totally stands out in my collection. A lovely hue that is perfect for any time of year. This new beauty is not necessarily limited edition, but she has no current plans to stock it again after this pop up so you might not want to miss out now!

This is Literary Lacquers Midsummer Night's Dream, an old favorite with a new formula. This is a deep shimmery blue with small gold square, black hex and holographic gold hex glitters. I love this glitter bomb, it reminds me of a magical fairy book night sky. This applied easily in two coats, but as it is a glitter bomb, it may need two coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

This stunning beauty is Literary Lacquers Color of Magic (formerly titled Octarine). This is a gorgeous mauve-y pink linear holo with glass flecks and flakies. The glass flecks give this a lilac glow that makes this a very characteristic pink holo in my collection. I just love it. This polish was inspired by the Terry Pratchett Discworld series. This also had a great formula that was opaque in two easy coats.

This is Literary Lacquers Felix Felicis, inspired by Harry Potter. This is liquid gold flakies and glass flecks for a gold, in-your-face polish. The glass flecks in this give it a slightly pink glow. The formula on this particular polish was on the thick side, so take care with application. I used two thin coats to achieve opacity.

This is Literary Lacquers Avada Kedavra, also inspired by Harry Potter. This is a gorgeous black matte base packed with gold and green glitter. This dries quickly to a surprisingly flat base and looks great as a matte or with a shiny top coat, I've shown both for your viewing pleasure. Takes two coats for opacity.

And last but not least is Literary Lacquers Mirror of Galadriel, inspired by Lord of the Rings. This is a gorgeous silver linear mega glitter holo, it has all microglitter and holo pigment. It is just one lovely rainbow and is one of my most favorite polishes that I use quite often. I used two coats here, but I think three coats looks best for opacity.

Now for the personal note as to why it's been more silent here lately.

Untitled

Yup, lots of life changes for me coming up. I'm moving in two weeks, I'm just getting out of the first trimester and hopefully with that new boost of energy I can dive back in to the nail blogging world! My husband and I are beyond the moon as we've wanted to leave the Bay Area for quite some time and we are upgrading from 740 square feet to 2,500 square feet! It's a dream home and perfect for raising my new family! And the move is allowing me to be a new mom for awhile.

Anyway, enough about me, don't forget to check out those Literary Lacquers this weekend!
