Hey everyone! Hope you're all having great weeks. Now I try my best to shy away from sharing things that aren't available anymore, but these beauties were just too pretty to keep to myself.
This is the September For the Love of Polish Box! I'm not typically a big box buyer, but these Pumpkin Patch-themed colors were just to gorgeous to pass up. This is a three-brand box with Illyrian Polish and Polished for Days as the main two brands, with a featured guest brand each month. This month it was Ever After Polish, and I'm not going to lie, that polish is a HUGE contributor on why I hit the purchase button – but I'm over the moon thrilled with the other two colors. And the whole box was $31.50 after shipping – for three gorgeous polishes I think that is a steal.
I also like this box has a rotating brand, and while I've tried this one, it gives me the opportunity to try a new brand every now and again. Polished for Days is a new to me brand, so I was excited to try one of her polishes and find out she is located near me (Santa Cruz, woot!).
Let's get to the swatches shall we?
First up we have the beautiful Ever After Polish The Pumpkin King. This has a grey holographic base filled with red to copper to gold multichrome shifting flakies (which have to be my absolute favorite polish embellishment for fall! I believe there are also tiny teal holo microglitters in this beautiful complex mix of a polish. Despite it's light base, this was opaque in two easy coats, and was beautiful indoors and outside!
Next we have Illyrain Polish Fairytale Pumpkin. This is a complex color, sometimes it looks more green, sometimes brown. Very much like my hazel eyes! This is an olive green with a golden flash when it leans more green, and a green leaning log brown when it leans more brown. It is packed with holograhic pigment and brownish copper flakies – a complex stunner from Illyrian Polish which I'm coming to expect and LOVE. Opaque in two easy coats.
Last but not least we have Polished for Days Pulp Fiction. This is a gorgeous peach leaning bright orange jelly polish packed with holographic flakies and gorgeous green to golden shifting multichrome flakies. This polish rounds out the Pumpkin Patch themed box perfectly and totally makes me think of happy pumpkin patch picking. I'm totally going to break this one out when I hit up the Pumpkin Patch this year! This was opaque in two easy coats as well.
So unfortunately this was only available for preorder for a 48-hour period, but the October box is coming up soon (Oct. 7 to be exact)! It is Monster themed and the guest brand is Candied Apple Polish, another new-to-me brand. I'll definitely be checking it out (in fact I just saw a sneak peek on Illyrian IG account, eeeek!).
Make sure you stay up to date on all things For the Love of Polish Box through their Facebook Fan group and their Instagram account.

Lilypad Lacquer Review and Swatches
Good morning everyone! Sorry for my absence, I was on vacation so I took a short break from the blog and now I'm back with some seasonably appropriate shades for you!
*Press Samples*
I'm super excited to share with you three new-to-me Lilypad Lacquer polish colors. Lilypad Lacquer is an Australian nail polish brand so I was super excited when Nicole emailed me and asked me to swatch for her. And the three colors she chose for me?! C'mon, these are totally perfect for me!
First up we have Lilypad Lacquer Cranberry Pop. This is a gorgeous linear holo polish that is opaque in two easy coats, shown with no top coat, no staining to report. The color is a darkened cranberry red that is perfect as we move into the cooler weather months (here in the US that is!). I can also see pairing this with an evergreen color during the holidays for a perfect seasonal mani too!
Next is Lilypad Lacquer Sea-quins. This is a beautiful linear holo that is a bright aqua in color, leaning a bit teal. When is it not the right time to wear a color like this?! Every season is aqua season in California, especially along the coast. This polish was opaque in two easy coats, shown with no top coat with no staining to report.
Last but not least this is Lilypad Lacquer Wicked Ways. This is a beautiful deep eggplant purple linear holo – not too bright and perfectly subdued for the fall. Purple lovers unite, I know you'l love this stunner! Opaque in two coats, shown without top coat and no staining to report.
I was completely pleased with my first experience with Lilypad Lacquer and I wouldn't hesitate to check out the brand. She has been around for quite awhile so she has a GIGANTIC listing of polishes to purchase from – with many holos so that makes me super happy! :)

Great Lakes Lacquer Polish Con Polishes
Alas, I am not going to Polish Con this weekend, but I do have some special polishes made in honor of that event to share with you today.
*Press Samples*
These three polishes are Great Lakes Lacquers beautifully fall seasoned polishes designed as specials for the Polish Con event, two will be available for purchase in the Great Lakes Lacquer shop Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. EST.

Transition
The first polish I have to share with you is Great Lakes Lacquer Leaves in the Sand, and this polish is a beautiful thermal. A gorgeous sexy burgundy with gold and pink shimmer in when it is cold, and a candy apple red when it is hot.
Disclaimer: Unfortunately when Mariah sent these to me I was out of town on a long weekend visiting family and the box sat in my mail box for two days (and I'm guessing probably got warm in the California heat), because of this the transition of this polish is very slow. So take that into account when ordering, thermals can experience burn out – but if you're diligent about getting your mail (like I usually am, nail mail is the best mail!), then this shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I tried to show you a transition as best I could, but it was difficult for my polish to do it quickly. Sorry about that. I have some great shots of the burgundy though, and boy is that a beautiful state for it! This was opaque in two easy coats and is shown with top coat. This retails for $10.
Next up is the gorgeous Great Lakes Lacquers Leaves in the Lake. I love the name of this polish because I think it matches so well with the polish itself. This is a gorgeous blue navy jelly polish packed with gold to bronze to red to fuchsia purple to green shifting flakes. This is a complex polish and looks different the more you angle your fingers. I couldn't quite capture it for you, but it is quite lovely. The polish was opaque in two easy coats and is shown with top coat. This retails for $12.
Last but not least we have Great Lakes Lacquer Fallen for Flake. This is an awesome royal purple polish with with shimmer from violet to orange to red and sparse orange and gold flake. I just love dignified purples like this. This polish was opaque in two easy coats and is shown with top coat. This polish unfortunately, is only available for purchase at Polish Con, so you'll definitely want to check it out if you're attending. It retails for $11.
While the last polish is a Polish Con exclusive, Mariah in all her awesomeness, is releasing Leaves in the Lake and Leaves in the Sand available for purchase on her Etsy site at 3 p.m. EST Sept. 21! You don't want to miss out on these lovelies!!!

Dreamland Lacquer Outlander Collection and Halloween Polishes
Hey everyone, there is a chill in the air and its just about time to start sharing some beautiful fall polishes with you
Today I have Dreamland Lacquer’s Fall polish collection and their Halloween Trio, both which release for preorder on September 19 at 2 p.m. CT at the Dreamland Lacquer site. The preorder will be open for 72 hours.
The first is a set of four polishes for the Outlander-themed collection. This collection retails for $11.50 each, or all for for $42.
First up is Dreamland Lacquer A Hundred and a Thousand More. The inspiration for this polish is from Claire’s wedding dress and wedding ring, named for the inscription inside the ring.
This is a lovely medium grey jelly polish with holographic glitter and flakies. This polish dries down flat and sparkles for miles and miles. This is a beautiful polish full of bling, and the inspiration behind it is charming. Opaque in two easy coats.
Next is Dreamland Lacquer Over the Sea to Sky. The fairy pools on the Isle of Skye and the Outlander theme song inspire this gorgeous polish.
This is the ultimate teal polish in my opinion. It is a teal jelly polish filled with holographic flakies – depth for days. Teal is one of my favorite polish colors so I gasped when I broke this polish out. It was opaque in two coats, but do wear a base coat, because it stained slightly without one (I was able to clean off pretty quickly though and trying again with basecoat, there was no issue).
This is Dreamland Lacquer Red Jamie, inspired by everyone’s favorite 18th century Scottish highlander, James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser.
This is a dusty muted red chestnut polish with a gorgeous linear holo finish. Dreamland makes some of the best linear holos in my opinion. Just love what Noelie can do with these polishes. I have a lot of red holos, but this one is unique in my ever-growing collection. Perfect for fall. Opaque in two easy coats, almost a one coater!
Last out of the fun Outlander Collection is Dreamland Lacquer Sassennach. Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser, 20th century English wife of Jamie Fraser, was the inspiration behind this polish.
Be still my fall-loving heart. Brown holos stole my heart last year and I am just so in love with this new brown linear holo from Noelie. This is dark and deep and has a great linear gold holo glow. Just in love with this polish. I think it might make a mean fall gradient with Red Jamie too! Opaque in two coats, almost a one coater.
Now I have the Dreamland Lacquer Halloween Trio collection to share with you. These three polishes will retail for $10 each or the collection will be $27. They will also be available for preorder on Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. CT.
First up we have Dreamland Lacquer Plastic Pumpkin. This is a great medium orange jelly polish filled with holographic microglitter. Opaque in two coats but might want to add an extra layer of topcoat for a smooth finish.
This is Dreamland Lacquer Sugar Coma. This is a bright slime green jelly polish filled with holo microglitter. Noelie does microglitter right, it’s always super fine, but sparkles and has a lot of depth. This bright green made me think of the Moster Mash while I was playing with it! Opaque in two coats, may want to use two layers of top coat. I only used one.
Last but not least we have Dreamland Lacquer Questionable Costume. This is a beautiful medium purple jelly microglitter polish. I just love this shade of purple and paired with the other two in this trio, it could make a great Halloween mani! Opaque in two coats, may want to use two layers of top coat. I only used one.
Both sets of these polishes will be available for preorder on September 19 at 2 p.m. CT at the Dreamland Lacquer site. The preorder will be open for 72 hours.
Hope you enjoyed my swatches and fun Halloween stamping. I loved playing with these polishes, really got me in the mood for fall and Halloween. I know it’s just around the corner and it’s my favorite time of year! Which of these are making your to-buy list?!
