Dreamland Lacquer Valentine Power Ballads Collection

Hey everyone!!! Sorry I haven't been updating my blog as much, exciting things are happening for me on a personal level and I promise I will reveal it all soon!

Today I have this beautiful 4-piece Valentine's Day Collection from Dreamland Lacquer to share with you and these polishes are super beautiful! These four polishes will release for preorder Saturday January 21 at 2 p.m. central time for a 48-hour window. I'll have more details at the end of the post, but let's take a look at the pretty swatches!!!

This is Dreamland Lacquer Is This Love? and it just beautiful. This is a white crelly polish with holo microglitters and color shifting iridescent microglitter. Those color shifting iridescent glitters are super in right now but I haven't quite seen this combination yet and it is just stunning. I really love this one. The formula on this one was a little thick, but nothing unmanageable – just apply thin coats. Since it is a white crelly, I used three coats for opacity.

Next up is Dreamland Lacquer Alone. This is a deep burgundy jelly polish with holo microglitter and those same beautiful color shifting iridescent microglitter. I love that this is both vampy and delicate at the same time. I love those color shifting glitters, they just add a whole new dimension to this polish. Since this had a darker base, I only needed two coats for opacity. These glitters tend to be a little hungrier than the usual Dreamland Lacquer microglitters, so you might need an extra coat of top coat for ultimate smoothness.

This is Dreamland Lacquer Everything I Do and it is just an amazing microglitter. No one does microglitters quite like Dreamland, and this one does not disappoint. A beautiful bright pink jelly polish packed with holo microglitters – this polish will make everyone happy all year round. Opaque in two easy coats, I wore this for few days and there is just something so happy about a bright pink.

Last but definitely not least this is Dreamland Lacquer The Search is Over. And you guys, the search really is over, this is the ultimate perfect purple polish! This is a warm purple jelly polish with unicorn pee pigment that gives it the most beautiful pink glow. And even though it's a jelly, this beauty was opaque in TWO coats. And it is just so amazingly beautiful. Who doesn't love unicorn pee?

Also, with this release, Dreamland will be bringing back some former popular shades.

Dreamland_ReRelease

Noelie will be bringing back, from left, Date Night, Monkey Monkey Underpants and Burnt Jam in Vermont.

Once again these four beautiful polishes will be available for preorder Saturday January 21 at 2 p.m. central time for a 48-hour window at the Dreamland Lacquer site. Turn around time will be approximately two weeks, depending on volume of orders. Updates will be posted on the Dreamland Facebook page if orders will take more than two weeks.

For the initial preorder each polish is $10.00. They will be $11.00 each when they are added to the store as normal inventory. The full set will be $38.00, so an extra $0.50 savings per color for ordering the set.

So which ones are your favorite? I'm really digging Is This Love?!!!

I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas

Ok more holiday looks for you today! Pinks have been calling my name lately and I thought I'd integrate the not-so-Christmas colors into a few holiday nails.

This is a super simple but delicate look featuring silver snowflakes over Emily de Molly Heavy Aura. The accent nail is one of my absolute favorite bling-y holiday silvers – B Polished Silver Bells a Blinging.

Untitled

Next up I really wanted to wear bright pink, I didn't necessarily want to do holiday nail art with it, but tis the Season I guess. I really liked how these turned out! The base is Smitten Polish Date Night (now Dreamland Lacquer and good news, this may be rereleased for Valentine's Day!).

Then I used various tree-related stamps to pull the whole look together.

Untitled

Warning though, the pigment in Date Night is strong and it overpowered my aqua Color Club Blue Ming stamping because of the quick dry top coat, though the a-England St. George still stamped great as a topper!

Anyway I have one final look to share with you and I hope to get that up sometime tomorrow!

Hope you're all having wonderful breaks, I'm still at work but things are winding waaaaay down!

Glam Polish Picks and Nail Art

Hey everyone happy Monday! Let's hope this week is better than the last for sure! Today I'm sharing some fun I've had with a newer to me brand, Glam Polish, who has definitely not disappointed one bit since I've begun purchasing from them.

Untitled

Let's just say Glam Polish gets me. I guess I can say I've rejected Pantone's colors of the year, I don't even know what they are called, but they look like baby pink and blue. I feel they mock the difficultly I've been facing trying to have kids. Like a big, look see, let's just shove the baby stuff right in yo face.

The reason Glam Polish gets me is just as I am settling on the fact that I think my colors of 2016 are chartreuse and purple, here comes Glam with these amazing polishes!!!

Untitled

This amazingly beautiful polish is Glam Polish Schadenfreude, from the Alphabet City collection, which is inspired by the Broadway musical Avenue Q, which I was lucky enough to see in New York City years ago!

This polish is my sunshine on gloomy days, it is bright and refreshing and amazing. It stands out without being neon, and its the perfect shade of chartreuse, not too green, not too yellow, but PERFECT! Schadenfreude is a lovely chartreuse green holographic polish filled with microglitters and holographic pigment in matching shades. The formula on this one was also perfect and applied easily with two coats.

Some of my favorite colors to pair with chartreuse are grey and navy, so expect to see more of that this year for sure. I've been finding a lot of happiness lately in the tiny bit of time I have to do nail art, so I threw some stamping on top of Schadenfreude using my UberChic Beauty 01-1 plate!

This stunning beauty is Glam Polish Daily Dilemma, a stunning purple holo polish with red microglitters creating a pinkish glow. This polish was practically a one-coater, which is good because I was playing with it just as my husband was ready to leave for dinner, so I did a super quick application with not problem at all!

Now when I say purple as a color of the year, I'm talking about the vibrant shades of purple. It seems to be a highly sought after color in the nail polish scene, and I've been surprised how much I've been drawn to them lately.

Untitled

Another thing I've derived a lot of joy from lately is practicing different nail art methods, and I've been having a lot of fun playing with my UberMat to make reverse stamping nail decals. I'm learning lessons every time I make a decal that is for sure.

As you can tell here, don't mix strong pigments with white polish. It will bleed and screw up the crispness of the decal. The pink here is Smitten Polish (now Dreamland Lacquer) Date Night, a Valentine's polish from last year, which is super gorgeous and bright fun pink, but the pigment is strong.  For the stamping images here I used my MoYou London Holly 03 plate which I got from US Distributor What's Up Nails (super fast shipping, highly recommend, also where I got my clear stamper).

So I'm clearly still learning my stuff, but playing for fun is part of why I love polish. It is a true escape for me and I've liked being able to mix in the nail art again. I know everyone likes straight swatches of full collections too, but nail art is what keeps it interesting for me!

I just went and got a collection of colored Sharpies earlier today so I hope to do some watercolor work at some point as well. Was hoping to get around to that this weekend but it didn't happen.

Anyway Glam Polish has been killing it lately and if I could buy all the Glams I would! They are coming out with a new Clueless-inspired collection on Friday, and I know I want to pick up at least one of those! Any Glams you've been lusting after or playing with lately?!

Neon and Nude Aztec Nails

Today I've got a neon pink holo and awesome nude flakie combo that I put together. I'm going to keep this post brief as I have just spent the weekend away, spent the last few hours swatching some new polishes and am a little spent on the verbal side!

Untitled

For this look I paired the lovely Smitten Polish Date Night, the neon pink holo polish, with the beautiful Digital Nails The Dude Abides.

Untitled

For the thumb, middle and pinkie nails I started with two thin coats of Date Night and for the index and ring finger I started with three thin coats of The Dude Abides. Then I used Aztec nail vinyls from VinylBoutique to create the aztec looks.

Untitled

Both of these polishes are AMAZING. The neon pink holo finish in Date Night pairs so well with the flakies in The Dude Abides.

Untitled

I loved this look so much when I originally wore it I never wanted to take it off! Coming up soon I've got some amazing new neon flakies from Smitten Polish and some more fun nail art as usual. Hope you all have stellar weeks!

Smitten Polish Stamping Skittle Mani

Hey guys, hope you're weekends were swell. Today marks the first day of another climb toward Friday, so to lift your spirits and my own, I thought I'd share some fun bright polish today.

Summer = neons to so many brands out there and I think it makes a lot of us forget about the other bright polishes we have gotten along the way. My first indie love was totally the holo polish and today I've got two super bright and happy holo polishes to share with you.

Untitled

These lovely polishes are Smitten Polish Date Night (pink) and Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid (purple). Just look at the awesome violet/blue linear flash in both of these breath taking holo polishes.

The formula on these was smooth as butter and went on easily in two thin coats, but I think I may have added a third just for extra sparkle and pop! Smitten Polish is one of those brands that can do no wrong in my eyes. Formula on Noelie's polishes are always amazing and I am always so amazed at her creativity and what she concocts.

I can never just wear a straight swatch, so I added a medley of nail stamping to this look, using the same nail stamping plate!

Untitled

Untitled

All of these images came from my Born Pretty Store plate BP-L005, which was orginally sent for review, but I continue to use over and over again because it has 20 different images on it and the possibilities are endless. The images are well etched and work very well. If you're itching to hit up their shop, feel free to use my discount code – TRAH10 – for a ten percent discount.

The stamping polish I used is KBShimmer Eyes White Open, my total go-to white stamping polish. Now as you can see, after using a quick dry top coat on this look, the white polish turned a bit pink and purple – that's only because the pigment is so super strong in these two awesome polishes. I have no problem with it in this look, makes it look even more coordinated in my opinion!

Anyway I hope you like this look and I am so glad I planned for this post to go up to today because in case you were thinking of purchasing a Smitten Polish or two – this is great timing. Tuesday at 2 p.m. Central time,  Smitten Polish will have a restock of their Opalescent Elements Collection, which are neon flakies and amazing. I reviewed these beauties back in April, but I'll leave a shot here just to tempt you! ;-)

Smitten Polish can be purchased in their online shop and at several international stockists.
